Gu Li has worked with Zhang Da Yong for 10 years jointly for articles in Weiqi Tiandi commenting on Gu Li’s exciting games. Now the 28 chosen games are fleshed out so readers can gain even more insights as to how Gu Li planned his strategies and tactics.

The title of the book Long Yuan 龙渊 refers to one of the ten most famous swords in Chinese history. This name was chosen to describe the titanic clashes between the two powerhouses of Gu Li and Yi Sedol. There will be a follow up volume in the future called Chi Xiao – Gu Li’s World Title Tournament Battles with Detailed Explanation 赤霄——古力世界冠军争霸战详解. Chi Xiao again refers to another famous ancient sword from Chinese history.
