If you like really thick clamshell go stones, these are as thick as they get. You need a lot of really old clams to make a full set of size 50 clamshell go stones. They are indeed the largest sized in production and exceedingly rare. I am delighted to be able to find some pictures of such stones of standard (jitsuyo 実用) quality for your enjoyment. These stones are around 14mm thick so I wonder what size bowls you would need for such wonderful pieces.
